How Business Coaching Works

At our first visit I'll show you how coaching works. After the initial phone call or email, we set a time and date for a visit at your place of business. I travel to you throughout Northland.

During this initial interview, I will make a full assessment of your business. This part, like all good things in life, is free.

Jacky Stevens Mentor & Coach looks at the following -

  • Work environment - First impressions are important.
  • The Owner/s - where do you want your business to go.
  • The Structure - who is in charge of the different areas of your business.
  • Staff - having a great team is essential.
  • Systems - the systems run the business, the staff run the systems.
  • Procedures - can anyone run your business if you are not there.
  • Financials - tracking the financials can mean life or death today.
  • Marketing - identify your target market, then be specific where you spend your marketing dollars.

When Jacky has the full picture -

Next step is to work out where your business is now and where you want your business to go.  This will enable her to give you an idea of how much Coaching you will need.

Coaching is about Jacky showing you how, but you do the work, how much time will you have, to work on these ideas will tell Jacky how often she will need to see you for coaching. Together a programme will be decided.

A typical Business Coaching Plan -

  • Would be either weekly or fortnightly.
  • The fortnightly or monthly as goals are achieved.
  • Eventually bi-monthly.

Jacky can also help you with special projects -

  • such as an expansion program
  • raising capital from the Bank
  • helping to prepare a Business Plan, and projected cash flow/budget.

Coaching is about teaching you to operate your business efficiently having all your procedures in place like a prototype so anyone could come in and run it for you. (Getting it ready for sale) Often when you do this, you actually re buy it yourself.
